NCLB

The 2002 measure that needed improvement was drastically made worse in the 2007 proposal. The reauthorization process will begin 2008. Some politicians have voiced a desire  to instigate the reauthorization process soon. Many people believe the process won't occur until after the election.  When it does happen, we need to be sure that it is heavily revised and rewritten so that it is a constructive piece of legislation.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

This Presidential election will have an enormous influence on the direction of NCLB. Obama has expressed interest in changing the test: using multiple measures to assess growth; removing the punitive aspects to the legislation
